TV Advertising Revenue grows by 5% in 2018

TV advertising revenue figures for 2018 have been released. Compiled by Guardian Management Accounting on behalf of TAM Ireland, these figures include spot, sponsorship, product placement, AFP and Broadcaster VOD revenue.

Irish TV viewing up 11 minutes per day on 10 years ago.- Ireland’s top 20 TV programmes 2016

Official TAM Ireland/Nielsen figures on TV viewing for 2016 shows that viewing is central to the fabric of Irish life. Irish adults in the average TV household watched for 3 hrs & 21 mins every day. Interestingly with the iPhone celebrating its 10th birthday this week, TV has seen an increase in viewing of 11 minutes per day during the same period – that is 11 minutes more TV viewing per day than 10 years ago.

TV Ad Revenue exceeds €200 million in 2013

The total advertising spend on TV in 2013 was €206,228,762 For the first time in the history of the Irish advertising business the TV industry have released actual TV ad revenue figures. Up until now the ad industry has had to estimate total spend figures across all media. In 2013 the Television industry took the decision to publish actual total revenue figures to the market.

A TV + Social Media insight project on an epic scale.

TAM Ireland has selected Colourtext to deliver an ambitious and exciting new media insight project. The study will collect nearly every tweet authored in the Republic of Ireland over a full calendar month – we’re forecasting a dataset of 9 million messages. We’ll also be monitoring search activity over the same period.

Official TAM Ireland/Nielsen figures for 2013 show TV viewing continues to dominate our leisure time with the average Irish adult viewer watching for almost 3 ½ hours every day – that’s over 24 hours each week.
