TV doing its bit to generate economic growth.

Are the green shoots begining to show? Irish retail sales had thier biggest increase this year in October . Retail sales volumes were 1.7% higher in October than in September and 3.1% higher than October 2011 according to the latest provisional data from the CSO.

The key driver of this growth was in electrical goods where sales volumes were up by 40% compared to October last year and this is believed to have been boosted by sales in  television sets following the DSO.
